Color Schemes: Triad

During my college years at FIDM, I remember they would have us practice our color coordination and design skills, by going thru magazines and selecting rooms that were design in a monochromatic, complementary, analogous or triad color scheme. Yesterday while doing my daily randoms, I came across this image and it reminded me of those times.

This living/dining combo was designed in a triad color scheme (three hues equally positioned on a color wheel) with the three primary colors which are yellow, red and blue. Such a fun room with minimal use of color, primarily on the accessories. Smart way to design a space, because this makes it easy to change and move things around if you tired of the look or if doing seasonal decor.
