Making it Grand

A bedroom is a place where you want to relax at the end of the day, so it's no wonder that it is the first room we all want to design and decorate in our homes. However making it "grand" with a gorgeous headboard as the main focal point in the space can prove to be a challenge if you don't have the skills.

I pulled out some amazing bedrooms that were designed using architectural salvage pieces. Using such items as a headboard gives your bed a "grand" and inviting look, making it quite a statement. Which is more appealing than ordinary bedroom collections we often buy at furniture stores. As a side note, you should avoid buying furniture collections which give you a boring and catalog look. A well design room is achieved by having different furniture pieces that mix well together, to give you that over time and collective look.
