One of my all time favorite designers is Miles Redd, and his famous bird cage room feature in Domino Magazine, many moons away. I love his use of chinoiserie, his rooms are extremely beautiful and mesmerizing, love his spaces.
Well couple of weeks ago I stumbled upon this gorgeous wallpaper on
ebay in attempts for Chinoiserie panels which can run up two the hundreds. Immediately fell in love with this paper because it reminded me of Miles Redd use of chinoiserie. Of course it didn't take long before placing the order, especially since the cost was only 1.49 pounds for two sheets measuring 27 x 19 inches, excluding shipping. But now hoping that perhaps I should have ordered more since I loved it so much and it took about a week for delivery from overseas plus the cost to have it mailed in a tube. I plan on having the sheets framed in gold as art, to complement all the colors, but still not sure where I will be putting them in my home. I will be getting a similar look as the rooms above but for a lot less.
The wallpaper, technically "gift wrap" has beautiful colors and the name is "Chinese Blossom Pink", it's a gorgeous print, taken from a panel of painted wallpaper in Tempera China about 1790, also from the Victorian and Albert Museum in London.
This Chinese wallpaper is also available through
V&A but at a much higher price, however they can do several print sizes.
Below are a few examples of framed chinoiserie as art.

Happy you loved it! I'll make sure to post some photos, once I figure out where to hang them.
